"ASAT of Antalya Municipality

The ASAT General Directorate of Antalya Municipality is carrying out works to clean stormwater drains.

"The ASAT General Directorate is currently undertaking the cleaning of stormwater drains spanning a total of 150 kilometers along the main roads and boulevards of Antalya to prevent infrastructure issues caused by heavy rainfall. ASAT continues its efforts throughout the year to clear drains that are blocked or may become blocked. The ongoing work in the Zerdalılık, Çaybahşı, Demirci Kara, and Meydankavağı districts of Muratpaşa aims to prevent flooding, especially during intense rainfall.

"WORK WILL CONTINUE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION"
İsmail Serkan Şenel, Head of the Sewage Services and Maintenance and Operations Department at ASAT, stated, "We are continuing the stormwater drain cleaning work that started in January without any interruptions. This project, which is valued at 100 million liras, covers 150 kilometers of stormwater drains. We will also clean 100 kilometers of drainage pipes and channels. Using cameras and robotic machines, we can quickly detect blockages and pipe deformations, allowing for rapid intervention. We will continue these efforts throughout Antalya without stopping."

İsan Karayörs, the head of the Zerdalılık district, expressed, "We frequently received complaints from our residents about flooding during heavy rains. Thanks to ASAT's work, this issue has been largely resolved."
