UPDATE: New Short-Term Rental Regulations in Turkey Effective from 2025
Dear Property Owners and Tenants,
As of January 1, 2025, new legal regulations governing short-term property rentals have come into force in Turkey. These rules apply to rentals through platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, and similar.
Key Provisions:
A permit from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey is mandatory
Rental period is limited to a maximum of 100 days per calendar year
For apartments in residential buildings, written consent from all neighbors is required
Non-compliance may result in fines starting from 100,000 Turkish lira
