1. Steps to Take

When moving to a new address, you should:

  • Visit the local Göç İdaresi office to register your address.
  • Prepare and submit the following documents:

-Rental agreement

- Copy of your passport

- Valid residence permit (ikamet)


If you live with friends or relatives:

They can submit a statement confirming that you actually reside at that address.

If you do not have a rental agreement:
You may arrange a temporary rental contract.
In this case, the property owner must provide:

  • A copy of the property deed (TAPU)
  • Written consent for your residence


2. If You Cannot Register on Time

If you are unable to register your new address within the deadline, you must inform Göç İdaresi in advance.
In some cases, you may be granted:

  • An extension for registration
  • Or a warning


3. Possible Consequences of Not Registering

If you fail to register your address and are found during an inspection, the following penalties may apply:
